Introducing Kay Primer, a talented artist whose roots in the Southwest inspire her work. With a background in art since childhood, Kay's pieces reflect her journey from Kansas to New Mexico and now San Marcos, TX. Her work has evolved over the years, exploring various mediums such as oils, stained glass, and ceramics. After apprenticing with a professional sculptor, Kay discovered her true passion for bronze sculpting, mastering the intricate lost wax process. "I like the fact that it is three dimensional and can be viewed from all sides." Kay Primer captures the essence of family and nature through small and life-sized sculptures inspired by the artist's grandchildren. With a background in western and wildlife sculptures, Kay creates pieces that resonate with both the artist and audience.
