With the support of his son, Matt, who expertly handles waxes and makes molds, and Adam Zaccaria, who skillfully manages the metal and assembly, we ensure every piece is crafted with precision and care. Larry Stevens
Hi, I am Larry Stevens and founded Stevens Art Foundry in 1974. My first job was sandcasting belt buckles for Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio, Texas. After sandcasting sought to bring back a time-lost process by incorporating the ancient lost-wax technique. We cast our first life-sized bronze of Martin Luther King (located in San Antonio, Texas) only a few years after, and over the years slowly grew the foundry into the destination it has become today. We have sculptures located all over the globe. The majority are in the US; however, you must not forget to include Europe, Japan, and Australia. We focus on transforming artistic visions into stunning bronze sculptures. We collaborate closely with artists, managing everything from mold creation to applying enchanting patinas, and in some cases, delivery and installation. Welcome to Stevens Art Foundry! I’m Matthew Laurence Stevens, and after years of learning from my father, Larry Stevens, I am excited to take the helm of this family legacy. Growing up amidst the artistry and craftsmanship of the foundry, I ventured into different paths but always returned to this passion. With the knowledge I've gained I am dedicated to keeping the foundry thriving for generations to come. My second passion is writing screenplays, which I have numerous awards for. I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Victoria, and blessed with a handsome son, Conrado.
